Some Like it Hotter

The heat from existing nuclear wastes and new wastes arriving at Sellafield is currently cooled by around 8 million gallons a day of the Lake District's fresh water. Once emplaced in a "geological disposal facility" the ferociously hot and radioactive wastes now to include plutonium would continue to heat up to 200 degrees c (what happens after that is anyone's guess).
